Zagol is the first and only Ethiopian restaurant in the Reno / Tahoe region.
Mixing both modern and traditional Ethiopian techniques, the chefs of Zagol’s
expertly blend exotic spices to create tantalizing, authentic beef, chicken,
lamb and also vegetarian dishes.
Visitors to Zagol will enjoy a fascinating, relaxing atmosphere featuring authentic Ethiopian décor. Dining selections will be served by traditionally attired staff, which will happily instruct patrons in the art of eating in the traditional Ethiopian fashion of using just Injera a traditional wheat free, gluten free, Ethiopian flatbread made from wholesome teff flour. Silverware is also available upon request.
It is widely known that Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee and Zagol
will bring the time-honored tradition of the Ethiopian coffee ceremony to
Reno for the first time.
Fresh coffee beans are roasted at your table releasing the rich, decadent
aroma of Ethiopian coffee, the beans are then ground and the coffee prepared.
Zagol also offers a fine selection of traditional Ethiopian beverages to compliment every dish from honey wines to hearty Ethiopian beer Zagol can quench any thirst.
Zagol features a variety of individual dishes in addition to a wide selection of combination dishes allowing patrons to sample just one dish or a variety of dishes at prices that will fit any budget.
